The Mixed Company Band has been providing musical entertainment for weddings, corporate functions, parties, bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs in the Washington/Baltimore area for over 20 years. One of the key factors of the group's longevity and popularity is its ability to perform songs spanning 80 years of popular music. In addition to the versatility afforded by live brass instruments and hi-tech keyboard synthesizers, the power of six lead voices enables the group to offer convincing renditions of every type of music from rock to country, big band to ballads, Motown to ethnic, or whatever the occasion dictates.

The Mixed Company Band employs a professional sound engineer to ensure that an appropriate volume level is constantly maintained. The use of theatrical lighting and state of the art sound amplification systems result in a musical presentation that is exciting to watch and enjoyable to hear. Most importantly, all music is played and sung live without the use of sequencers or pre-recorded backgrounds - what you see is what you hear! The following is a profile of the group:

Jim Kerns — Backup vocals, soprano, alto and tenor sax, flute, clarinet.

Henry Kurosaka — Lead and backup vocals, guitar, keyboards, percussion.

David Quintyne — Sound and light technician.
